wurde 1962 in Landau geboren und war 1982-84 im Heeresmusikkorps 9, danach schloss sich ein Studium an der Musikhochschule Mannheim an. Seit 1986 ist er Trompeter im Rundfunkorchester des SWR, seit 1993 Dozent an der Musikhochschule Saarbrücken, wo er 1997 zum Professor berufen wurde. Er ist Mitglied von DAS RENNQUINTETT, das er auch managt. |

Prof. Peter Leiner was born in Landau in 1962 and was a member of the (German) 9th Army Music Corps between 1982 and 1984, after which he studied at the Mannheim College of Music. He has played trumpet in the Southwest German Radio Orchestra since 1986 and teaches at the Saarbrücken College of Music since 1993, where he became professor in 1997. He is currently manager and a member of the brass quintet DAS RENNQUINTETT |
